Hourly rate dependant on experience  

Client

Located in nice premises, close to transport in the CBD, our client are well recognised practitioners who specialise in debt recovery, bankruptcy and corporate insolvency.

Role

Commencing in January 2012, this is a maternity leave position for 12 months. The successful person must be capable of managing their own matters and files and must be able to fit within a small, friendly team. This exciting role will support 2 Solicitors and work alongside 2 other Secretaries.  

Skills & Experience

  • 5 years Secretarial experience in a Legal firm
  • Excellent dictaphone typing skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Legal Processor

Client

Located in nice premises in Parramatta, our client are in the Mercantile/Debt Collections sector.  

Role

Initially for 1 month, this is a temporary role that has the potential to go to a permanent role. Ideally the successful person will have processed legal's within a mercantile (debt recovery) agency before, however a very solid legal clerical experience and understanding of the legal process and court lodgement process would also be highly regarded. The purpose of this position is to provide Legal Administration Support to the NSW office. The role will be responsible for ensuring that all legal documents are processed, completed and lodged with the relevant bodies. The Legal Clerk will be expected to liaise with Solicitors, Courts, Process Servers and external suppliers.
 

Skills & Experience

  • Very solid legal clerical experience
  • Switched on person who has initiative
  • Keen eye for details
  • High accuracy level

Training will be provided

 
Responsibilities
  • Legal processing in a debt recovery environment
  • Set up and lodgement filing of court documents
  • Preparation and processing of legal documentation - statement of claim, enforcement documents (writs/garnishee documents/examination/bankruptcy notices)
Hours
8.30 am - 5.00 pm
