Your job interview is the best opportunity you will have to gather details about the position and the Team and to sell yourself to a prospective employer. The manner
in which you present yourself can be the most significant aspect of your job application.
A well prepared candidate is much more likely to impress an interviewer with his or her alertness, competence and confidence. If your answers are well thought out and direct, you will find you will be much more at ease. The more comfortable and relaxed you are, the better the interview is bound to go.

Before the Interview:
• Find out about the company you are having an interview with, and investigate
their website if they have one.
• Confirm the address and time of interview.
• Confirm the name and spelling of the interviewer's name, as well as the correct pronunciation.
• Professional grooming is important. Always be neat and tidy, pay attention to
detail, i.e. hair, polished shoes and ladies - wear stockings. Preferably wear a
jacket.
• Always carry a spare copy of your resume.
• Prepare questions for the interview, i.e. regarding the position for which you are
applying, the company, training development etc.
Questions you might be asked:
• Tell me about yourself.
• What do you think your strengths are?
• And your weaknesses?
• Why would you like to work for our company and what do you seek from a new
company?
• What do you think your skills and work experience can contribute to a new
Company?
• Where do you think you might be in your career in five years from now -
maybe ten years from now?
• Do you enjoy teamwork, and what does a "team environment: mean to you?
• What have you done that shows initiative in your career?
• What would be some of the highlights and greatest successes in your career?
• Many employers now use competency and behaviour based interviewing techniques
that require you to provide specific examples – be prepared.
