HR Manager

Salary $65-$85K + Super (depending on experience)  
Client

Located in nice premises with onsite parking, our client is a leading manufacturer. They are a family owned and operated business, with branches throughout Australia and have over 150 staff Australia wide

 
Role

The Human Resources Manager has responsibility for ensuring the effective and efficient operation of Human Resources as well as coordinating the national operations and functionality of the Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety Systems. The ability to work closely with Senior Managers who have overall responsibility for Environmental and Safety Systems is essential. The role requires the maintenance and management of Administrative functions on their behalf.

 

Responsibilities

  • General Administration including maintenance of Co Policy & Procedures manual
  • Recruitment of new personnel
  • Conducting employee performance reviews in conjunction with Management
  • Counselling staff and issues warning to employees on performance related issues in conjunction with management
  • Co-ordinating employee training plans
  • Award & Employment contract development and interpretation
  • OH&S Management
  • Environmental Management
  • Manage workers compensation claims and act as Return to Work Co-ordinator
  • Scheduling (with the Safety Committee) of Risk Management Audits and carrying out workplace inspections as required
 
Skills & Attributes
  • Excellent communicator with high level interpersonal skills
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and motivated with a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Sound understanding of Policies and Procedures
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Systems and 4801 OH&S Systems
  • Tertiary qualification in HR and OHS
  • Experience in product rather than service based industry preferred
  • Experience in Warehousing, Industrial, Production industries highly regarded
  • Sound computer skills with Word and Excel, knowledge of ERP
  • Superior typing skills

Hours General hours 8.30 am - 5.00 pm
